A PTO Fundraiser That Funds The Entire Year

A Sweet Way To Support Evey Student
For Jill Cornell, Treasurer of a 4–5 PTO, World’s Finest® Chocolate has become more than an annual fundraiser. It is the sale that helps fund the PTO’s entire year, supporting teacher budgets, student experiences, staff appreciation, classroom enrichment, and end-of-year celebrations.
Funding What Matters Most
This past fall, Jill’s PTO raised $23,000 through its World’s Finest Chocolate fundraiser. Those funds help make a wide range of programs possible, from 5th grade field trips, field and fishing days, student scholarships, classroom magazine subscriptions, testing prizes, good behavior rewards, staff appreciation, and even hands-on learning moments like the school’s baby duck and chick embryology unit.
Easy For Kids & Exciting For Families
After experiencing many different fundraisers as both a PTO leader and a parent, Jill appreciates how approachable the World’s Finest Chocolate program is for students.
“I have five kids, so I’ve seen my fair share of fundraisers. Selling magazines or wrapping paper was hard. This is something every kid can do. It’s an opportunity for kids to develop skills, like being able to talk to an adult.”
Prizes That Keep Momentum High
Jill credits the prize program as a major driver of student excitement. Her PTO builds motivation through raffle tickets, VIP seating and snacks at a special assembly, a game truck, Culver’s lunch, class pizza parties, donut rewards for money turn-in, cafeteria ice cream punch cards, whole school dance party reward, top 10 seller prizes and mega golden tickets hidden in boxes.

Her advice to other PTOs is simple: be prepared, and invest in quality prizes. With the right planning, World’s Finest Chocolate can become a fundraiser students look forward to and families rally behind.
